1>Soft mode --- to match normal motor (2, 4, 6 electrode) to offer Max efficiency)
2>Hard mode --- to match motors with 6 or more electrodes to offer Max rotate speed and current)

Caution: The ESC can test motor type and automatically set Max angle as per motor type; motor and speed controller can work with hard mode under 50 degree, but 2 electrode motor is not suitable to work under hard mode.

SETTINGS:
1> Test the current mode:
Put the throttle down at the lowest (idle) position, turn on radio power and connect the speed controller, when single sound "Beep" means with brake mode, when double sound "Beep-Beep" means without brake mode. After about 5 seconds five sounds "Beep" means soft mode, and five sounds "Beep-Beep" means hard mode.

2> To change the current mode:
A. First connect motor, receiver and the speed controller correctly (do not connect speed controller power), and turn on transmitter (40A and larger speed controller need do this with BEC, and now need to connect the BEC power)

B. For settings with brake, first make sure above step A was finished correctly, and connect speed controller power. After 5 seconds there will be 4 times continuous sound "Beep"(not circular), at this time just push transmitter throttle rapidly to the lowest position. Now when sound "Beep" and 5 times single sound "Beep" or 5 times sound "Beep-Beep", this means the brake and soft mode has kept and the settings finish, you can push throttle to test motor.)

C. For settings without brake, just repeat step B.

D. For soft mode settings, first finish step A correctly, and then connect speed controller power. After 5 seconds there will be 4 times continuous Beep"(not circular), and after another 5 seconds there will be another two circular sound, that is 5 times single "Beep" and 5 times double sound "Beep-Beep", when hear single sound "Beep" just rapidly push transmitter throttle to the lowest position, and then there will be "Beep" or "Beep-Beep" and 5 times single sound "Beep". Now the soft mode settings finish, the speed controller is ready, and you can push throttle to test motor.

E. For hard mode settings, just repeat step D.

REMARK:
1>Once settings finish correctly, the programme will be kept and no need to repeat the programming when change battery.
2>Please do not use the speed controller for any other device that does not work with battery as power.
